Siriporn P.

Bangkok, Thai resident

I attended the Family Communication Workshop with my husband. What stood out was how specific the exercises were β€” not generic advice, but actual things to try at home. We've been using one of the techniques from the take-home pack consistently. The session was long enough to go properly into things without feeling rushed.

Richard K.

Australian expat, Bangkok

I did the Mediation-Support session on my own before a scheduled conversation with my former partner. I wasn't sure what to expect β€” I half thought it would be some kind of soft motivational thing. It wasn't. It was informative and practical. The worksheet gave me a framework I could actually use the following week.

Bangkok, mother of two

The Co-Coordination programme was the right length β€” not too short to feel superficial, not so long that it became another commitment to manage. My daughter's father and I completed it together. The shared templates we were given have genuinely reduced the number of last-minute scheduling misunderstandings we used to have.

British expat, Watthana

My wife and I attended the Communication Workshop. I'll be honest β€” I was a bit sceptical that a one-day session could offer much. But the facilitator kept things grounded and the small group made it easy to participate. We left with one or two things we've actually kept doing, which is more than I expected going in.

Patchara T.

Bangkok, co-parenting situation

I found Knotwell after searching for something that wasn't counselling but was still structured. The Co-Coordination programme fit that exactly. I appreciated that nobody told us what outcome we should be working toward β€” the focus stayed on skills and communication patterns, which is all I needed.

Maya H.

German expat, Sukhumvit area

I attended the Mediation-Support session alone, which worked well. The session was informational as described β€” there was no pressure to share personal details. I left with a clearer picture of what I was walking into, and the preparation worksheet helped me structure my thinking beforehand.

Participant journeys

A few examples of what brought people to Knotwell and what they found there.

Family Communication Workshop

The situation

A Bangkok couple with two teenagers found that most family discussions ended in frustration β€” not because of the topics themselves, but because nobody felt heard. They were looking for something practical, not therapeutic.

What the session covered

They attended the Family Communication Workshop and worked through the listening exercises as a pair. They reported that the structure of the session helped them practise things they'd never thought to approach as learnable skills.

Six weeks later

Both reported still using two techniques from the take-home pack. Their follow-up feedback noted that one specific exercise had become a regular part of how they began difficult conversations at home.

"We didn't need someone to tell us what to do β€” we needed better tools. That's what the session gave us."

Co-Coordination Skills Programme

The situation

Two parents coordinating care for their eight-year-old across two separate homes in Bangkok were spending significant time each week on schedule disagreements. Both wanted a more structured system β€” and less friction.

What the programme covered

They enrolled in the Co-Coordination Programme together. Over four sessions, they worked through planning frameworks, communication habits for coordination, and practised using the shared templates provided.

Two months later

Feedback indicated that weekly scheduling messages had reduced in volume by roughly 40%. More importantly, the tone of those messages had shifted β€” both described the exchanges as calmer and more matter-of-fact.

"The templates sound like a small thing, but having a shared format removed a surprising amount of back-and-forth."
